Course Description

On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. Millions of children grow up in homes where there is domestic violence. These children are at significant risk of having lifelong negative consequences due to this environment. This workshop will explore the terror and trauma that a child may experience living in a home where there is domestic violence and the developmental effects this environment may have on a child’s behavior.
