OVERVIEW
Sustainability isn’t just the last sentence of your grant application. Sustainable programs develop a culture of sustainability where all stakeholders continually plan for changes in funding, staffing, and environment. Participants will leave this presentation with a readiness assessment for their program and handouts that can be used to develop a full sustainability plan.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
As a result of attending this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Assess their organization’s readiness to address 5 areas of program sustainability;
2. Understand the 6 components of a sustainability plan: Readiness, Organizational Foundation, Environment, Collaborative Partnerships, Advocacy/Marketing, Evaluation; and
3. Become familiar with the tools available to create a sustainability plan.

Social workers and others in organizational leadership; program managers; project directors.
PRESENTER
Emily graduated with her MSW from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University and her MBA from UT. She has worked in the UT College of Social Work’s Office of Research and Public Service for 14 years as a program evaluator. She has worked on evaluations of various sizes and content areas, from the Knoxville Mayor’s Office’s Save Our Sons initiative, to federally funded grants from HRSA and SAMHSA, and to statewide evaluations of TDCS, TDHS, and TDOE programs. She lives in Knoxville with her spouse, children, and myriad cats.
