UTCSW alum Carrie Deese was recently named one of Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30 Finest. Deese received her MSSW in 2020 along with the Trauma Treatment Certificate.
Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30 Finest is an elite recognition program and philanthropic fundraising competition showcasing Nashville’s most active young professionals and philanthropists under the age of 30. The program benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s work to develop ways to treat and cure cystic fibrosis.
Middle Tennessee residents can nominate those who exemplify leadership qualities, are active in the philanthropic community, and have excelled in their chosen career field.
Allison Diehl, Nashville MSSW Field Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Practice, worked with Deese when she was a Field Instructor, and could not agree more with the nomination. “Carrie is very deserving of this nomination for 30 Under 30,” Diehl said. “As a pediatric social worker, she gives selflessly of her time and talent and works hard each day to make the world a better place.”
