Juvenile Violence

We are committed to understanding the multifaceted causes and consequences of juvenile violence within communities. Our research examines the interplay between social environments, trauma, and behavioral health, aiming to identify effective prevention and intervention strategies. By partnering with schools, justice systems, and families, we inform policies that address root causes, support rehabilitation, and foster safer spaces for youth. Through evidence-based programs and a focus on resilience, we strive to reduce violence and promote positive development.

Neuro (Neuroscience & Neurodevelopment)

Our team investigates the neurological underpinnings of behavior, mental health, and learning across the lifespan. Through interdisciplinary studies spanning neurodevelopment, cognitive functioning, and brain-behavior relationships, we explore how biological factors interact with environmental influences. By advancing research in neuroplasticity, trauma impact, and neurodiversity, we aim to inform interventions that enhance wellbeing, support recovery, and improve outcomes for individuals facing neurological challenges.

School Social Work

We explore the critical role of social work within educational settings—addressing barriers to student success and fostering inclusive school environments. Our research focuses on developing effective support systems for students experiencing trauma, behavioral issues, or socioeconomic disadvantage. By collaborating with educators, families, and community organizations, we design interventions that strengthen resilience, promote mental health, and ensure every student has access to resources needed for academic and personal growth.
