Community Planning and Social Policy
Our team investigates how thoughtful community planning and effective social policies can address systemic challenges and promote equity. We study collaborative approaches that engage residents, local leaders, and service providers to design environments where all individuals have opportunities to thrive. Through research on policy reform and community engagement, we inform strategies that foster resilient neighborhoods and responsive public systems.

Macro and Organizational-Level Work
We examine how social systems, institutions, and organizations shape opportunities and outcomes on a broad scale. Our research explores leadership development, policy advocacy, system redesign, and organizational effectiveness to drive meaningful change. By collaborating with community partners and leveraging evidence-based strategies, we help strengthen organizations and inform policies that promote equity, resilience, and positive impact across entire communities.

Macro Social Work
We focus on the big picture—how broad systems, policies, and collective action can tackle root causes of social issues. Our research delves into topics like community organizing, advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and systemic reform. By developing innovative frameworks and training future leaders, we empower social workers to influence change far beyond the individual level—shaping policies that benefit entire communities.
