The purpose of MSWO is to provide student leadership, act as an advocate in student issues, foster group cohesiveness among students, faculty, administrators, alumni, and social work professionals in the University and in the local community, provide a social network and enhance the positive experience of pursuing an MSSW degree.
What we do
MSWO typically arranges educational training workshops, volunteer opportunities, fundraising initiatives, and social advocacy events. As a student-led organization, your participation is crucial in shaping our priorities and activities.
MSWO has monthly meetings for each MSSW program campus; Knoxville meets on the 7th floor of Stokely Management Center, Online students meet over Zoom, and the Nashville student location is still TBD.
