Advanced Trauma-Informed Care within the Context of Organizations – Ragan Schriver, PsyD, LAPSW

AM Breakouts – 90 minutes

Presenter Pronouns: he/him

OVERVIEW
Evidence shows that a significant number of people experience trauma of one form or another, putting them at risk of facing triggers of their trauma, or being re-traumatized within the context of an organizational setting. To better support people who may have experienced trauma, workplaces and service providers need to have an understanding of trauma informed care, so they can communicate effectively and avoid the risks of creating further harm. This session will assume knowledge of basic aspects of trauma impact and build on this knowledge by discussing practical application of organizational practices, such as change management, to prevent re-traumatization.
