The University of Tennessee Program for Pet Health Equity recently launched the One Health Forum, a pioneering online platform. This unique initiative offers a collaborative space that is not only innovative but also dynamic, where professionals, policymakers, and community advocates can come together, share their insights, and drive impactful change.
The One Health Forum is dedicated to a mission of aligning crucial services and resources that support bonded families – families comprising human and non-human members (pets). By establishing this platform, a commitment to enhancing the overall health and well-being of these families is expressed through collective action and shared expertise.
Dr. Michael Blackwell, Director of the Program for Pet Health Equity, expressed his enthusiasm, “The launch of the One Health Forum represents a significant step forward in our mission to achieve bonded family health equity. This global online community is where diverse voices can collaborate to ensure that the health of humans and their pets is equally prioritized. Together, we can strengthen the well-being of all families and create more connected and compassionate communities.”
In collaboration with Maddie’s Fund®, the One Health Forum is set to make a significant impact by focusing on expanding access to care for individuals and their pets. These efforts will champion sustainable, pet-inclusive initiatives and policies, breaking down barriers to healthcare for bonded families. This FREE forum is a unique platform for professionals in animal welfare, human healthcare and services, veterinary medicine, public health, and policy to contribute to this vital cause.
You are invited to be part of this journey. Engage in meaningful discussions, collaborate on forward-thinking initiatives, and drive real change within your field. Together, people can shape the future of bonded family health and build a more integrated, compassionate world for all.
Your participation in this transformative community is welcome. Your unique perspective and contributions are not just valued, but essential to the success of the One Health Forum.
Join us today! Let’s make a difference, one idea at a time.
