PhD Student Chesney Ward Presented at the World Vaccine Congress

PhD Student Chesney Ward recently presented at the World Vaccine Congress in Glasgow Scotland.

Ward made an oral presentation on the results of a study about uptake of the HPV vaccine in Appalachian women who were surveyed anonymously over social media about their unmet reproductive health care needs.

Ward is the lead author and was an in-person presenter. Dr. Gretchen Ely is the senior author on the project and Dr. Bill Nugent provided statistical analysis support. PhD Student Ishita Kapur is co-author, along with recent graduate Dr. Melody Huslage, who is now on faculty at University of Nevada, Reno.
