Center for Basic Needs

The Center for Basic Needs provides comprehensive basic needs resources, advocacy, and support with the vision that all students have their essential needs met in order to learn, lead, and serve at the University of Tennessee and beyond.

Big Orange Pantry

The Big Orange Pantry provides a variety of non-perishable fresh foods, hygiene products, and other essential items supporting basic needs.
Available to all current students, faculty, and staff at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Smokey’s Closet

Smokey’s Closet provides free, gently used professional and business casual clothing, shoes, and accessories to all students, faculty, and staff at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

The Office of Title IX is committed to providing supportive measures for both complainants and respondents who are addressing matters covered under the Title IX federal mandate and the Policy on Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Dating and Domestic Violence and Stalking (“Policy”).

Center for Health, Education, & Wellness (CHEW)

The Center for Health Education and Wellness (CHEW) strives to improve the health and well-being of the University of Tennessee community. Guided by campus-wide assessments, CHEW encourages Volunteers to make informed decisions about their health and wellness.

Reporting Student Concerns – Dean of Students Office

By accessing the central reporting page, students, faculty, staff, and others can easily submit the necessary reports tailored to the specific office they require assistance from.

Title IX – Make a Mandatory Report

When a student shares information about an incident of sexual harassment (including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking), sexual exploitation, or retaliation (prohibited conduct) with a mandatory reporter, the law also considers the university to be in possession of that knowledge.
