Question Persuade Refer: Fundamental Suicide Prevention Training for Providers

Question Persuade Refer (QPR) is a world-renowned suicide prevention training that guides the community to begin having a conversation about suicide breaking stigma and guiding those with suicidal thoughts to help. This particular training will offer an additional provider perspective as not only can you support your clients but also your peers.

About the presenter
Emily Hager was born and raised in Knoxville and graduated from Johnson City’s East Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Biology/Biochemistry. Upon completion of her degree, Hager joined the United States Navy for four years of service where not only did she learn leadership and professional development skills but was also exposed to a variety of mental health concerns. After service, Hager returned to Knoxville and began a pursuit of her PhD in Nutritional Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. A survivor of suicide loss, Hager has served in several suicide prevention awareness and advocacy roles in East Tennessee. Hager also worked with Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) prior to hire through Vet to Vet Tennessee and collaborated with TSPN’s Veterans task force. Hager and her husband have four incredible children.
