Hailey Crowe is a first-generation college graduate from Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned her Associate of Science in Social Work from Pellissippi State Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from UTK in 2025.
Hailey worked as both an undergraduate and graduate research assistant at the Center for Behavioral Health Research (CBHR), a university research center dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children, adolescents, adults, and families through the study of epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of substance use and psychiatric disorders. During her time at CBHR, she contributed to mixed-methods projects focused on adolescent behavioral health, cannabis use in adolescents and young adults, and family engagement strategies. She will continue working with CBHR throughout her first year in the PhD program.
Her research is grounded in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive frameworks, with a strong emphasis on implementation science and translating behavioral health research into practice. Hailey is passionate about conducting equity-centered, community-engaged research to inform social policy and improve behavioral health outcomes for youth, families, and historically marginalized populations. She values self-care and enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, reading, journaling, and listening to music.
