Savannah Lindsey is a PhD student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After graduating with her MSSW in 2021, Savannah has spent the last several years working primarily in interpersonal violence prevention and community-level response. She most recently served as the Project Manager for a multidisciplinary research team that focuses on the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and their impacts on the physical body, mental health, and academic outcomes. Savannah is passionate about creating equitable outcomes for all, practitioners and clients alike. She is particularly interested in researching experiences of vicarious trauma amongst victim-service professionals. Her other research interests include intimate partner violence, childhood exposure to domestic violence, and expanding culturally responsive practice.
