Staff Profile- Q & A with Tiffany Toney

Tiffany Toney is an Administrative Specialist III on the Nashville Campus.

How long have you worked at the UT College of Social Work?
I have been with the UT College of Social Work since February 2010.

What does your job entail?
In my job, I support Dr. Mary Held and Director Kate Chaffin with their human resource hiring needs of adjuncts and field liaisons. I also handle the class schedule needs for both of their programs or any events we hold on the Nashville campus. Additionally, I serve as the Nashville Campus office manager and supervise the non-exempt staff. And of course, I work and assist our students as needed.

What is your favorite part of the job and/or favorite part of UT?
I have always been a fan of UT football, baseball, softball, and basketball. I’m a bit of a sports junkie. But what has kept me at UT is the amazing people I work with. They are world changers and do so much for so many. It is also great working with students. You never know one may be the next person that helps make this world a better place for one or many.

What do you like best about living and working in Nashville?
I have lived in this area all my life. Nashville and the surrounding area have so much to offer, such as music, arts, sports, lakes, and nature. What I don’t like about it is the traffic and the crazy cost of living.  

Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Yes! I have an amazing husband, and we have been together for 37 years. We have two daughters and the most precious grandson. We have two dogs that are spoiled rotten. I love the Titans, Boston Red Sox and the Vols! Faith and family always come first.
