Tristan is an MSSW student at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville). As a first generation undergraduate, he pursued his bachelor's in Psychology at UTK. Born in Knoxville – named after Peyton Manning – Tristan was born to be a VOL from the very beginning. He has a deep interest in both advocating for policy and engaging in micro practice. Tristan intends to pursue his LCSW post-graduation. Tristan is specializing in receiving his trauma certification and school social work license. Later in life, he would like to open a nonprofit to help at-risk youth turn their lives around and become successful adults. He also sits on the Graduate Student Senate as the College of Social Work's student senator. Tristan sees social work as a way to make an impact on the lives of those who need help the most. In all things, Tristan strives to leave the world better than he found it.
A fun fact about Tristan is he loves animals of all kinds – especially fish, cats, and reptiles! Bettas, sharks, and flowerhorn cichlids are his favorite aquatic animals, and his two cats are like his children. He hopes to adopt his first snake soon!
